Artistic Director - Pat Miller

Pat Miller is one of Australia’s leading young conductors and is passionate about presenting music to children in a way that is both captivating and highly educational for them.

Pat began conducting in 2003 before going on to complete a Master of Music at the University of Melbourne studying under John Hopkins. He began his professional career in 2005 conducting the National Tour of Bizet's Carmen for Ozopera. Further training through the Symphony Australia Conductor Development Program has led Pat to conduct the Tasmanian, Queensland and Adelaide Symphony Orchestras and Orchestra Victoria.

In Melbourne Pat has worked with virtually all the community orchestras including very successful engagements with Stonnington Symphony including a broadcast of Berlioz's 1'enfance du Christ in support of the Royal Children's Hospital Hus Program.

Pat works actively in music education. He has had a highly successful partnership with Patma Music Family Concerts since it began operation in 2005.

His involvement has included working with the program founder Nehama Patkin on the design, development and presentation of many of the productions as well as conducting the concerts.
